Event Details

The term "T-wall" is commonly used by soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan to refer to 12-foot-high Bremer walls that are used for blast protection.

When given a blank canvas, an artist paints.   These blank gray concrete walls were the soldiers’ canvas.

George Hauer and Robin Whitney collected images of the T-Walls--none of which will remain after the soldiers return home--in a book that will help support OPERATION MUSIC AID, a nonprofit that provides musical instruments to wounded soldiers to help with their physical and psychological recovery.

Come hear about the book project, and a unique American art "installation" overseas. No charge / free parking.
